HERZELIA

Team Leader: Omer Levin Ben Haim

ZOZOBRA RESTAURANT, LOCATED IN THE INDUSTRIAL AREA OF HERZELIA, IS PLANNED AS A HAVEN FROM THE HUSTLE AND BUSTLE OF THE CITY AND OFFERS ITS CUSTOMERS A DYNAMIC EATING EXPERIENCE WHICH IS INTERACTIVE WITH THE SPACE IN WHICH IT’S SITUATED.

A CHEEKY
MÉLANGE

THE TALL, SPACIOUS DINING HALL CONTAINS THE LONG AND OPEN STAINLESS STEEL KITCHEN, ALLOWING DINERS DIRECT VIEWS INTO IT. THE SPACE IS AN ALMOST CHEEKY MÉLANGE BETWEEN THE CONTEMPORARY, VIRTUALLY MINIMALIST DESIGN APPROACH, AND THE ENERGETIC, HIP ATMOSPHERE CREATED BY THE USE OF COMMUNAL DINING ARRANGEMENT. PRIVATE TERRITORY IS BLURRED AND REPLACED BY A CHANCE FOR SOCIAL INTERACTION

THE AMBIANCE OF THE VENUE VARIES AS THE DAY PROGRESSES THANKS TO THE EVER-CHANGING LIGHTING SCHEMES AND THE PROJECTIONS OF APPETIZING IMAGERY AND TEXTS. THESE ELEMENTS ENCOURAGE GUESTS TO REACT TO THE SPACE AND TO EACH OTHER, AND CONTRIBUTE TO THE VIBRANT FEEL OF THE RESTAURANT.
